Wednesday, June 12

The American Hospital Association (AHA) today announced it has exclusively endorsed LexisNexis® Identity Management Product Suite. AHA Solutions, Inc., a subsidiary of the AHA, awards the AHA endorsement to products and services that help member hospitals and health care organizations achieve operational excellence. Following an extensive evaluation of identity management service offerings, LexisNexis Patient Identity and Financial Assessment Product Suite was selected for the exclusive AHA endorsement.

The AHA-endorsed LexisNexis Product Suite includes four solutions: The first two, Instant Verify and Instant Authenticate, support patient identity management with verification and authentication. The Community Benefit Assessment (“CBA”) and RiskView™ for Healthcare Providers helps hospital improve revenue cycle management. These products will enhance hospitals’ ability to manage and protect patient information as well as improve revenues.

As hospitals continue to expand their use of electronic medical records and increase participation in health information exchanges, the LexisNexis’ four-solution suite, which draws on comprehensive databases, verification expertise and financial assessment tools, can help hospitals verify and authenticate patients’ identity, facilitate financial eligibility determinations and reduce identity fraud.

“Protecting patients from identity theft and fraud is a top priority at hospitals,” said Anthony Burke, President and CEO of AHA Solutions, Inc. “After extensive review, the LexisNexis Product Suite demonstrated commitment by the company to provide hospitals with outstanding tools to assist with the collection of more accurate patient data, and protect patients and hospitals from identity fraud.”

“By taking a proactive approach to enhance identity management, health care organizations can safeguard access to patient information which will aide them in their efforts to sustain safe and high-quality care for their communities,” said Dennis Becker, Vice President of Emerging Markets for LexisNexis. “We are pleased AHA Solutions has recognized LexisNexis’ expertise in identity management and financial assessment solutions to support health care providers across the country.”
